In these days and times we live in it is a much more complicated world than we did 20 or even 10 years ago. I believe we have to rethink how we are going to reach this generation for Christ..
As I stated in my last blog there are so many new ways to present the gospel. The message of the gospel never changes, but down through the ages the methods have continued to evolve. We as mature Christians need to think about the importance of reaching out to this ever changing world. We need to let go of "It worked for me, it should work for everybody else." What is important is that we take whatever resources we can lay hold of and use then to their fullest. This post-modern generation we live in believes that truth is relevant not absolute. There is no black and white.
I would like to leave you with this thought. Are you willing to lay down your preferences to see this generation come to know the truth of the gospel? Check out this article by Josh McDowell (http://enrichmentjournal.ag.org/199903/050_postmodern_gen.cfm). It will enlighten you on the challenges we face. Paul states in I Corinthians 9:19-23 what he had to do for the sake of the gospel. Let's take this challenge that is before us and go forward.
God Bless,
Pastor Bill
