The Purple Book: Biblical Foundations Class

The Purple Book: Biblical Foundations Class

Week by week, Robert will be guiding our youth through The Purple Book: Biblical Foundations for Building Strong Disciples.

What exactly is The Purple Book??

The Purple Book is a Bible study guide designed to help believers know and apply the essential beliefs of Christianity. From students and scholars to parents, kids, rock stars, and professional athletes, people all over the world are doing The Purple Book. And, it’s the book the Newsboys give away at every concert! Why? Because it gives new believers and longtime followers of Jesus the foundation they need to grow strong in the Christian life.

  • Understand foundational truths that God wants you to hear on topics such as sin, salvation, spiritual gifts, prayer, worship, generosity, and evangelism.

  • Learn how the Bible is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

  • Discover that the faith you hold has true power to change lives and transform nations.

  • Gain a solid foundation the enemy cannot dismantle—and a heart shaped by knowledge of God's Word.

Youth Encounter: Chasing Love (Gents)

Youth Encounter: Chasing Love (Gents)

The young women of our youth will be embarking on a overnight Bible Study hosted by Caleb Michalek, Stephen Whitaker and Robert Clark. The event will be gender specific and take place at Image Church, please bring sleeping bag or bed-roll. Sign Up By May 30th at Image Church Information Center

From music to movies to social media, sex is everywhere. And many people today think sex itself is the route to happiness. But Jesus showed that true happiness comes from loving God and loving others. In a culture filled with tension over sex, gender identity, same-sex sexual relationships, pornography, and sexual abuse, we have to ask: Is it really possible to fully follow God’s design for love and sexuality?

Yes, it is.

We live in a society that challenges us daily when it comes to tough topics related to sexuality, but God doesn’t leave us to find the answers on our own. He shows us His design for sex, singleness, and marriage in His Word.

We will be Using the Sean McDowell Bible study entitled Chasing Love to address the Biblical view on these issues.

In this Bible study, Sean McDowell takes us through God’s Word to answer some of our toughest questions about love, sex, gender, and relationships. He provides practical counsel on how we can embrace a life of purity by loving God and loving others with both our body and our soul. We’ll learn how to show love to those living outside of God’s design. And we will discover that God’s love heals our wounds and His grace frees us from the shame and guilt of past sin.

This Bible study will help you:

understand and embrace God’s design for love, relationships, and sexuality.

see that you’re never beyond God’s forgiveness and grace.

learn how to engage the LGBTQ conversation with both compassion and biblical clarity.

respond in compassion to those who have been abused or who believe differently.
